Green Industries SA (GISA) Disaster Waste Management Services Panel
Green Industries SA (GISA), in partnership with Procurement SA, is establishing a panel of suppliers to deliver a range of services that are typically required to implement a Disaster Waste Management (DWM) program in a declared disaster event.GISA is the functional lead for DWM under the South Australian State Emergency Management Plan (SEMP). In this capacity, GISA is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing waste management activities across the preparedness, response, recovery, and post-recovery phases of emergencies.Key details:Suppliers can nominate to deliver services in one or more of the following categories:Disaster waste expertise – strategic advice and coordination for waste management in disaster contexts All hazards property assessments – site inspections and risk assessments Waste collection and transport – removal and logistics of disaster-generated waste Environmental engineering – technical support for site remediation and environmental safety Work health and safety consulting – WHS planning and oversight Electrical services – temporary or emergency electrical works Asbestos and respirable crystalline substance monitoring – air quality testing and site clearance Field supervisors (labour) – on-site coordination and supervision Arborists – tree removal and vegetation management Traffic management – safe access and control around work zones Temporary fencing – site security and containment Temporary site office and amenities hire – facilities to support field operations The panel will operate for up to 5 years, commencing in December 2025.It is important to note there is no guarantee of work, however panel members will be eligible for future engagements if a disaster is to be declared in South Australia.For inclusion on the panel, suppliers must demonstrate adequate capability, capacity, and experience delivering the services they choose to put forward.
