Three Special School Transport Service Contracts for 2027

The Department of Education is seeking a supplier/s for three separate special school transport service contracts (bus or other vehicle). The contract period is from 1 January 2027, to 31 December 2027, however, the vehicles will run on school days only (morning and afternoon services) for Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4, of the Victorian school year. While bus services will run only on school days, it may be anticipated that communications between the supplier and school may occur prior to January 2027 for planning purposes. The contracted services will not run on gazetted public holidays, pupil free days, or weekends. Locations and requirements: Officer Brunt Rd Specialist School, Officer (interim name) opening in Term 1, 2027, established as a specialist school catering for students with mild to profound intellectual disability. With new enrolments requiring travel assistance from 2027, one new transport service (bus or other vehicle type) is required as follows: Transport service: One transport service - with seating capacity between 18-34 seats including options for two wheelchair travellers (where needed). Horsham Specialist School is an established specialist school in rural Victoria catering for students with mild to profound intellectual disability. One new transport service (bus or other vehicle type) is required to support growth and demand at the school as follows: Transport service: One transport service - with seating capacity between 12-24 seats including options for two wheelchair travellers (where needed). Ngurraga School, Point Cook, opened in 2026 for younger students only but from 2027 will accept students through the age ranges of 5 – 18 years. A new bus service will cater to increased demand.
