Design and Construct - Factory Road, Yarragon Sewage Pump Station Upgrades

A non-mandatory but highly recommended Tender information session will be provided on site at Gippsland Water – Opposite Number 9 Factory Road, Yarragon at 10am Thursday 8 October 2026. Registration for this meeting is not compulsory.This is a Major Works Contract for the Design and Construction of a Sewage Pump Station (SPS) in Factory Road, Yarragon.The Contract Sum shall be full compensation for the design and complete construction of the Works, construction plant, temporary works, commissioning, defects and liability for the Works for the specified period, any remedial works and the replacement of any defective works. Extra monies will be paid only for work undertaken in accordance with Variation Orders issued in writing by the Superintendent. The Contract Sum is not subject to rise and fall or price variation, nor shall it be subjected to variation due to changes in foreign exchange rates. The Contract Sum is inclusive of GST.The work shall be in complete accordance with:1. Major Works Contract – Design and Construct including Schedules 1 to 23;2. Schedule 5 Part A – Preliminaries Document (Principal’s Project Requirements);3. Schedule 5 Part B – Specification;4. Schedule 5 Part C – Drawings; and5. Schedule 5 Part D – Attachments.This project involves the design and construction of a new sewage pump station (SPS) and all associated sewer and water infrastructure required to connect into the broader network. Key components include:• Design of the reinforced concrete sewage pump station wet well and valve pit structures;• A 4.5 m-diameter, 10 m-deep reinforced concrete wet well incorporating a duplex pump system (1 duty, 1 standby) with pump flow rates between 70–90 L/s;• Four (4) new manholes, new GRP sewer mains, and new UPVC sewer mains designed to provide direct connectivity to the new SPS;• Extension of the water service to the new wet well to ensure adequate operational supply;• Installation of security fencing around the SPS site to secure the premises;• Commissioning of new SPS; and• Decommissioning and demolition of exiting SPS.
