Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) intends to conduct an open Request for Tender for the supply and delivery of Substation Battery Chargers. The tender will be released and managed through SAP Ariba. This notice is intended to identify suppliers interested in participating in the upcoming RFT and to facilitate supplier registration in EQL’s SAP Ariba environment. The detailed technical requirements and proposed equipment configurations are set out in the attached EQL Technical Specification for Substation DC Battery Chargers, S10034540.Substation battery chargers are critical assets that maintain station batteries in a fully charged condition and provide regulated DC supply to substation protection, control and communication systems. These systems are required to operate reliably under a range of environmental and operating conditions and must meet strict technical, safety and compliance requirements.Interested suppliers should review the attached Technical Specification S10034540 and consider whether they have the technical capability, experience, manufacturing and supply-chain capacity, quality systems and support arrangements necessary to meet EQL’s requirements. Subject to final internal approvals, the RFT is currently expected to be released through SAP Ariba on or about 1 September 2026.
