ACMI Cinema Lighting Renewal

ACMI is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors to supply, install and commission a full LED lighting, digital control and lighting bar renewal across Cinema 1 and Cinema 2 at ACMI, Federation Square. The works will replace end-of-life lighting, control, dimming, cabling, hoist and bar management systems originally installed when the building opened in 2002. The scope includes new LED house, profile and Fresnel-type fixtures across both cinemas, digital lighting control with staff-friendly wall panels and Bio Box manual takeover, Bio Box lighting conversion to DALI control, replacement chain hoists and energy chains across six lighting bars, rebuilt dimmer cupboard infrastructure, new power, DMX and data cabling, emergency lighting works, testing, commissioning, certification, training and handover documentation. Works must be delivered in a live public venue around programming commitments. ACMI intends to sequence the works during reduced programming period within a December to January delivery window. Submissions should demonstrate a clear methodology for access, working at height, protection of fixed seating and finishes, safety compliance, defect rectification and coordination with ACMI staff and site requirements.
