Request for Tender - Asset Storage and Transport Services for the Sheriff's Office Victoria1. Overview of services soughtThe Sheriff’s Office Victoria (SOV) is responsible for actioning warrants in Victoria and enforcing sanctions against those who do not comply with court orders in accordance with the Sheriff Act 2009. The sanctions available to Sheriff’s officers to enforce civil and criminal warrants includes the seizure and sale of assets (which includes vehicles and chattels).To support this, SOV currently outsources the following services (the Services) under an existing contract:Transport of vehicles and chattels from seizure locations (within both metropolitan and regional Victoria) to the Contractor’s storage facilityReceiving vehicles and chattels into the Contractor’s storage facilityLong-term storage of vehicles and chattels, as well as personal property found in vehiclesPreparation of vehicles and chattels for auctioningRelease (i.e. handover) of vehicles and chattels to the person or entity named in a Sheriff’s warrantProvision of documentation and reporting associated with the Services to SOV.With the current contract for the Services approaching the end of its term, SOV is undertaking a competitive tender process for the Services to ensure service continuity for SOV.SOV wishes to engage a single supplier with the capacity to deliver the required Services on an end-to-end basis. This must be as a prime contractor delivering all the services directly, or with identified services delivered by subcontractors.2.
