Aboriginal Justice Agreement (AJA) Bail and Remand Support Grants Program

The Department of Justice and Community Safety through the Koori Justice Unit, will be inviting applications for the Aboriginal Justice Agreement (AJA) Bail and Remand Support Grants Program (Grants Program). The Grants Program is intended to support Aboriginal organisations to deliver self-determined, culturally led services and programs that address local needs and improve justice outcomes for Aboriginal people on bail and remand. Applications will be sought for Aboriginal-led, community-based programs or services that provide bail and/or remand support for Aboriginal men, women and/or youth (and their families) across three stages of the criminal justice system, including:Accessing supports for individuals when applying for bailSupport to successfully complete bailSupport during transition out of remand.Briefing session:Date and time: 2PM AEST Thursday 16 April 2026 (online)Registration details: Send attendees company name, full name and email address by 12 PM Wednesday 15 April 2026 to [email protected] and a link to the session will be emailed out.Please note the Deed of Confidentiality must be completed to access the RFA Part A - Specification, Part B Conditions of Participation and the briefing session.
