Expression of Interest - Furnishings, Storage, Logistics and Associated Services
DHA has a requirement to fully furnish multiple properties in our portfolio. This includes provision of goods, necessary logistics, temporary storage, and inventory management in between furniture usage.
DHA are seeking suppliers capable of delivering the following goods and services:
1. Providing furniture, electrical items and homewares (the furnishings).
2. Providing associated services including delivery, assembly and staging of furnishings and inventory management and stock control (the services).
3. Provision of logistic and storage services including packing, collection, storage and re-delivery (logistics and storage) for some of the furnishings.
Collectively, all elements are referred to as the requirement.
Upon registration and Deed of Confidentiality execution, an Information Pack can be provided to Respondents with further details.
Furnishing Requirements
DHA at times is required to provide a furnished housing solution, each property must be fully furnished in accordance with its specific requirements. Suppliers engaged by DHA are expected to assess and identify the furnishing needs of each property and inform DHA of the proposed inventory. The furnishing requirements and specifications are detailed in Attachment 2 of the, which is currently in draft form and provided as a reference to illustrate the requirements and associated services at the time of release.
Logistics and Storage
DHA requires a coordinated logistics and storage strategy to enable the efficient rotation of furniture across properties in accordance with program timelines. Following an initial period of approximately four months, all hard furnishings are to be removed from each property. This process involves collecting the items, relocating them, and placing them in secure storage until needed for future deployment.
When there is a subsequent need for a furnished property, the stored furniture is assessed and, if necessary, modifications to the package to comply with the specifications of the next designated property. Once these adjustments are completed, the furniture is delivered and installed at the assigned location, thereby ensuring that the property is furnished in accordance with DHA standards.
Associated Services
Associated Services are requirements in addition to the supply of furnishings and consists of two elements.
1) Property Staging
Including unpacking, furniture assembly, placement, waste management, cleaning. Services pertaining to property staging are detailed within Attachment 2 (within the supplementary pack).
2) Inventory management
Furniture is required to be effectively managed between occupancies at a property. This includes implementing stock control and management procedures that facilitate the expansion or reduction of packages in accordance with upcoming requirements. Coordination will be required for the addition or disposal of items as necessary.DHA invites interested parties to demonstrate capabilities and responses to provide the following:
1. The furnishings,
2. The Services,
3. Storage and logistics, or
4. All three
The intent of this EOI is to establish existing suppliers or market capacity by identifying provider(s) who possess the capability to deliver the requirement. DHA’s primary intent is to seek a single supplier capable of delivering the requirement in full.
If providers capable of delivering all services do not exist, through the mechanism of a consortium or similar arrangement, DHA may seek multiple suppliers to meet the requirement
