Water Mains Renewals

Barwon Water’s water mains network requires replacement and renewal to maintain and ensure the level of service that is acceptable to the community. The water mains replacement program targets assets that pose a risk to customer supply security. Barwon Water is seeking the services of a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to undertake these works under a Schedule of Rates Contract over a maximum period of twelve (12) years, with a five (5) plus five (5), plus two (2), contract term that may be renewed based on delivery performance. Recognising the presence of market volatility and uncertainty, Barwon Water is currently considering the best path forward. Tenderers are asked to suspend works on their tender submissions.
