Marlin Marina Vessel Refuelling System (MMVRS) Refurbishment Works
Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited, trading as Ports North (PN) is a government-owned Corporation established under the Government Owned Corporations Act 1993 (Qld) that develops and manages port facilities. PN operates the Ports of Cairns, Cape Flattery, Karumba, Mourilyan, Skardon River, Quintell Beach, Thursday Island, Burketown and Cooktown.
The Marlin Marina in the Port of Cairns is the base for the fleet of reef tour vessels that operate out of Cairns.
The Vessel Refuelling System distributes fuel along a 400 metre long jetty such that vessels can be refuelled at their berths. The system was constructed and commissioned in 2003 and Ports North are now to carry out refurbishment works in order to provide ongoing reliable service.
Ports North invites tenders from suitably experienced contractors for the Marlin Marina Vessel Refuelling System (MMVRS) Refurbishment works. The scope of work includes the replacement of all inground infrastructure above the inground fuel tanks and the fuel pumps and the Veeder Root Control system.
