The Opportunity
The use of technology in the classroom is an essential and engaging part of learning and teaching across all aspects of the Victorian curriculum. Student use of digital technologies generates a range of skills that are increasingly important in the workplace and in life.
To support these digital technologies, the Department of Education and Training (Department) provides all Victorian government schools with onsite technical support through the Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP). The TSSP is an existing program with a strong historical precedent over the last 20 years in providing schools with frontline services and support that is fit for purpose.
The Department establishes panels of suppliers that can provide uniform services across all schools in metropolitan, regional and remote areas of Victoria. These panels are:
Specialist Technician (ST) Panel – Suppliers who provide resources to deliver onsite technical support to Victorian Government Schools.
Service Delivery Manager (SDM) Panel – Suppliers who provide management resources to support the management and administration of the TSSP across metro and regional areas.
