NSW Health / INVITATION TO EOI – INDUSTRY FORUM on 16th SEPTEMBER 2019 for Whole of Government Waste Management & Resource Recovery - HSSP_SG20_9698 EOI Industry Forum

An Expression of Interest (EOI) will be issued to the market week commencing 9 September 2019 and will close at the end of October 2019. This may be followed by an RFP and contracts will be awarded around February 2020 with service commencement in March 2020. The expected term of the contracts is a minimum five years with extensions available for top performing suppliers.
An EOI – Industry Forum is scheduled on the 16th of September 2019 that will include a presentation as well as Q and A. If you are interested in providing your services to the NSW State Government, we encourage you to participate in this market engagement process and register on e-tendering.
The EOI will be available on the eTendering portal (https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/). Please ensure you set up an account and are notified when it is released, as individual respondents will not be directly contacted and documentation will not be made available through alternative mediums.
HealthShare NSW is the largest public-sector shared services provider in Australia, and currently manages the Whole-of-Government Waste Management contract for NSW Government. HealthShare NSW is facilitating the market engagement process on behalf of all representative Departments and Agencies, including Health, Treasury, Environment Protection Authority, Property NSW, Transport, Education, Department of Planning, Industry & Environment, Department of Community Services, and others.
The range of services to be covered include:

Existing services and sub-agreements as part of the current Whole-of-Government Waste Management contract (contract 9698)
Direct contracting for other commercial waste management services to all NSW Government sites
General waste, recycled, organics, other waste streams
Specialist waste services (e.g. clinical, hazardous, secure documents)

The following services are not in scope for this tender:

Household waste collection and management
Integrated facilities management (i.e. where waste management services are bundled into an integrated FM contract covering end-to-end building management services)
Construction & Demolition Waste
Waste Audit services
Waste consulting Services
