To facilitate ultimate waste water flows from Coorong Quays residential development, a number of Alexandrina Council wastewater network components require expansion, or construction.
Coorong Quays currently owns and operates a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) upon Tolarno Drive, Hindmarsh Island. The WWTP comprises of pipework, vacuum stations, splitter tanks, reactor tanks, storage ponds and irrigation outlets. This WWTP shall be partly decommissioned, with only pipe work and vacuum stations remaining.
In accordance with the Coorong Quays Infrastructure Agreement a new dedicated waste water pump station & all necessary ancillary items are required to cater for wastewater flows arriving at the existing vacuum stations.
The new waste water pump station shall comprise, but not be limited to;
Pump Chamber
Pumps
Manhole, valve chamber
Valves
Pipework
Electrical conduit & electrical pit placement (empty, with draw string ready for cable)
Site earthworks
Retaining wall
Driveway access and materials
Access gate
And, all other items detailed on drawings and/or specified
Special Conditions
The Council will supply, in kit form, the 3.2 x 3.2x 2.4m Stratco Stubby shed (& roller door) ready for assembly. The contractor shall be responsible for site works, concrete floor, blank conduit placement within shed floor and assembly of shed on site.
As a Council owned & operated wastewater network, Council requires that a number of other electrical requirements apply to these works;
Council’s wastewater Electrical Engineer will build, supply and install the new wastewater pump station Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) unit (to control the pump station);
The new PLC control system will be placed, by Council, into the new shed constructed as part of these works. The concrete floor shall include empty conduit runs, located in the locations deemed necessary by Council;
The placement of the PLC control system will occur at a later date, likely to be 6 months after the completion of civil works;
Once installed, Council’s wastewater Electrical Engineer will test & commission, in conjunction with the successful contractor, the new wastewater pump station and all associated works;
This scope of works excludes live connection to the existing electrical power. The new power connection shall be installed as a separate package of works and be under the supervision of Council’s wastewater Electrical Engineer.
Special Materials - XYPEX ADMIX BIO-SAN C-500 Product
The Price Schedule shall include a separate line item (Item 4.6) that clearly documents the additional cost of utilising XYPEX ADMIX BIO-SAN C-500 concrete additive mixture at the time of pump station chamber manufacture.
A XYPEX Performance Specification document and BIO SAN Dosing Chart is included for reference.
The works are required to commence during approx. June 2020 or another date agreed to.
